Snow, Snow, and more Snow!!!!

We have had an awesome end to February and start to March. Last I heard March is supposed to be the beginning of spring, but wow we have got some great winter snow. One of the best endings to winter in a while. I think it has snowed like three times here in the past few months. The last being the best. It started on last Thursday with a little rain then some flurries and then bam, there it came down, this winter blast of snow that just kept falling. The kids thought it was cool, snow on top of snow and more snow. Me and Jackson went to the store and picked up a few things, because in Arkansas if it starts even a small drizzle of snow the whole state shuts down and prepares for power outages for at least a week. The snow here never lasts more than a day but hey we always do it. Because of the snow we had no satellite TV and because of the snow we had no computer (satellite as well) so we watched DVR shows again. It was bed time bout 8pm and the kids had just laid down. There was about three big flashes and then it was gone, the power that is. Pitch black, kids start freaking out don't know whats going on. We find everyone a flashlight for safety and making shadows on the wall. We light candles through the whole house that I had to blow out 5 min later. No heat, no light, no TV, no computer, pitch black, what to do. So we all go to bed in the same bed, queen size bed. There is 5 people in our bed, not to comfy. We made it through the night, got up no power still. We went and moved in with my Granny for another night. Interesting as well but for another time. We were out of power from Thursday at 8 till Saturday at 3pm. When you live in the country your on the back of the turn your power back on list. Needless to say those groceries we bought on Thursday were ruined from the power outage. The snow was nice and it lasted about a day as usual. It was back up to 60 degree weather by Sunday. Typical winter power outage for a wonderfully fun day in the snow. Here are a few pics my mom took, there are more I just don't have them on yet. Oh yeah we got about 7 to 10 inches with this snow. It was great.
